1981~1995
- 1981.07.01Establishment of the Defense Quality Inspection Agency
- established in accordance with special directive on defense industry
integrated two separate military supply quality assurance agencies:
quality assurance division for the agency for defense development, and
qualit assurance bureau of the defense procurement agency in the ministry
of national defense
- 1983.11.10move of the procurement divison headquarters from yongsan to hongneung
- 1984.11.08Signed International Quality Assurance Agreement with Canada
- 1989.10.01Changed the name to the Defense Agency for Quality Management- In order to reflect the expanded work scope in quality assurance
- 1995.01.03Established aviation regional office
- 1995.03.15Appointment as an institute for Korea Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (KOLAS)
1996~2005
- 1996.01.01Established naval equipment regional office
- 1996.10.01Changed the name to the Research Institute for Defense Quality
- 1998.10.01Changed the name to the Defense Agency for Quality Management
- 1999.04.10Conducted certification for the defense quality management system
- 2003.09.05Opened Seoul Defense Venture Center
2006~Present
- 2006.02.02Expanded the organization and changed the name to the defense agency for
technology and quality (dtaq)- succeeded the functions of defense science and technology planning and technology information management from the agency for defense development - 2008.02.04Established the Defense Technology inforMation Service(DTiMS)
- 2010.07.29Held a completion ceremony for ASRP Test Laboratory in Seohwa, Gangwon-do
- 2011.07.01Commemorated the 30th anniversary of DTaQ
- 2012.02.01Accredited as an DQ mark certification
- 2013.06.27Established the Defense Quality Society
- 2014.05.21Officially relocated the head office to Jinju, Gyeongsangnam-do
- 2014.06.17Held a construction completion ceremony of the new head office building
- 2015.07.08Opened all-intensive test site in Inje-gun, Gangwon-do
- 2015.09.08Accredited as an ISO 9001 certification
- 2016.07.20Appointment of prior research institute for the weapons system
- 2017.10.24Obtained KOLAS certification for bulletproof test
- 2018.12.05Received the grand prize for Best Jobs of the Year as a role model organization
for work-life balance - 2019.04.22Received the 2019 Presidential Award in recognition of the contribution
to ICT development
